Cleveland State 79, Butler 68
CLEVELAND — Kailey Klein had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead Cleveland State in the women’s tournament quarterfinals at the Wolstein Center. Robyn Hoying and Jessica Roque added 15 points each for the fourth-seeded Vikings (17-13), who will play at top-seeded Wisconsin-Green Bay Friday night in the semifinals. Klein also had six assists for Cleveland State, while Dominique Butler had 13 points and seven rebounds. The Vikings scored the first seven points of the game and led by as many as 21 points, 33-12, with 9:29 remaining in the first half. Butler, which rallied to within five, 44-39, at halftime, led by as many as three points, 59-56, with 9:26 remaining in the game, but the Vikings went on a 10-0 run to regain control. Brittany Bowen led Butler (20-10) with 17 points, while Susan Lester added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Tara Miller added 14 points and Lade Akande scored 11.
Green Bay 83, Loyola 67
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Lavesa Glover scored 21 points and Erin Templin added 16 for top-seeded Green Bay (25-4), which pulled away from a 39-38 halftime lead. Kayla Groh added 14 points for the Phoenix, while Rachel Porath scored 12. Green Bay shot 54 percent from the field (27-of-50) and were 23-of-30 at the foul line. The Phoenix shot 68 percent in the second half (15-of-22) and outscored Loyola, 46-29. Maggie McCloskey scored 22 points for Loyola (8-22), while Elyse Van Bogaert and Keisha Collins added 16 apiece.
Milwaukee 67, Valparaiso 60
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Traci Edwards made 9-of-14 shots from the field and finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Panthers (17-13). Aubrie Rote added 10 points for third-seeded Milwaukee, which will play second-seeded Wright State in the semifinals Friday in Green Bay. Sarah Ott led Valparaiso (14-16), the sixth seed, with 15 points, while Aimee Litka scored 12. Agnieszka Kulaga finished with 10 points and nine assists.
