Cribbs’ blocker signed by Browns
BEREA (AP) — The Cleveland Browns have signed offensive lineman Lennie Friedman to a one-year contract.
Friedman appeared in all 16 games last season, blocking for return specialist Joshua Cribbs on kickoffs and filling in at guard and center.
The 31-year-old will enter his third season with the Browns, who acquired him a training camp trade with the Chicago Bears in 2006.
Friedman has played in 97 games and has started 34 during his career with Denver, Washington, Chicago and Cleveland.
He was drafted by the Broncos in the second round in 1999.
