Teenager charged as adult in stabbing
HERMITAGE, Pa. — City police have charged a teenager in a stabbing that occurred at Hickory High School.
A police report says a 7:30 a.m. Monday episode at the school, North Hermitage Road, led to the 15-year-old’s being charged with an adult crime.
Malique Harrison, of Parke Drive, Hermitage, was arrested at the school, accused of stabbing a 17-year-old male there. Police said Harrison, a 10th-grader, became involved in an argument with another student and stabbed him once in the lower back with a multipurpose tool that had a knife on it.
The victim was taken to Sharon Regional Health Systems by ambulance. Additional details were not available.
Harrison is charged as an adult with aggravated assault, simple assault, possessing a weapon on school property, and possessing an instrument of crime.
