X AUSTINTOWN — Announced by Bruce and Joelene Longfield, 693 Wyndclift Circle, is the engagement of their daughter, Valerie Longfield, 2320 Treescape Drive, Charleston, S.C., and Craig Ross, 7233 Harrier Drive, Charleston, a son of Hank and Pam Ross, Grand Rapids, Mich.

Miss Longfield graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in hospitality management and marketing. She is director of reservations at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, S.C.

Mr. Ross is the director of villa maintenance at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. He holds a degree in business administration from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.

The couple have planned a wedding that will take place at 5:30 p.m. April 26 at First Christian Church of Charleston. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and for a reception at the Historic Rice Mill in Charleston.
