Youngstown State senior pitcher Ryan Sellman was announced Monday as one of 30 Division I baseball players who are candidates for the 2008 Lowe’s Senior Class Award.
The award, which focuses on the “Four C’s” of classroom, character, community and competition, is presented annually to the top senior student-athletes in eight different sports.

The list of 30 nominees will be condensed to 10 finalists in mid-April. Those 10 student-athletes will then be voted upon by coaches, media and fans. The winner will be announced and recognized at the College World Series in Omaha,Neb.
