Lordstown plays hoops to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank


Lordstown High School and the Village of Lordstown will host the Charity Basketball Games for the benefit of Second Harvest Food Bank Friday.

At 6 p.m. the Lordstown elementary school girls basketball team will play the elementary school faculty, followed by the Lordstown elementary school boys basketball team.

At 7:15 p.m., Lordstown mayor Chaffee and village employees will take on the high school faculty.

Con-way Freight of Lordstown will deliver all donations to Second Harvest Food Bank. Last year, the event raised $1,106 and collected 1,173 pounds of food.

Admission for adults is $3 with non-perishable food donation or $5 without non-perishable food donation. Admission for seniors and students is $2 with non-perishable food donation or $3 without food donation. All funds raised and food collected will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
