Christ our King Church ransacked

WARREN – Christ Our King Church was ransacked and money used to purchase prayer candles and for church operations was stolen during the weekend.

Police reported Saturday that thieves used a hammer to break a window to gain entry to the Tod Avenue church. All the closets and cupboards in the social hall and kitchen were opened and contents spilled onto the floor. Three large plastic jugs containing money for church operations were emptied and the money taken. A wooden box containing money to purchase the candles was ripped from the wall and emptied.
