Poland advances, Warren Harding falls

Poland defeated Cleveland Benedictine, 77-63, to advance to the state semifinals later this week in Columbus.

The Bulldogs (25-0), ranked No. 1 in Division II, will play either No. 2-ranked Chillicothe or Byesville Meadowbrook in the semifinals Thursday at 2 p.m. at Value City Arena. Chillicothe and Meadowbrook play Sunday night.

Warren Harding lost, 77-75, in overtime to Lakewood St. Edward in the Division I regional final at Cleveland State University. The Raiders’ season comes to an end with a 23-2 record.
