The wedding of Gina DeCristofaro of Brookfield and Jason Huber of Canton will take place Sept. 27. A headline in Tuesday’s paper was incorrect. Miss DeCristofaro is pursuing a master’s degree in educational administration at Ashland University. That information was inadvertently omitted from the announcement.
Red Hat Society seeking vendors
YOUNGSTOWN — The String of Pearls Red Hat Society is seeking vendors interested in participating in the second annual international Red Hat celebration to be held April 24 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek MetroParks.

Free workshop for women at McGuffey Centre
YOUNGSTOWN — “Self Care — It’s About Me” is the theme for a free workshop to be held for women from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17 at the McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road. The event is being cosponsored by Humility of Mary Health Partners and Anthem Blue Cross.
Featured throughout the day will be Kurnita Kennedy-Adkins, a massage therapist from Secret Garden Salon and Spa; Melinda Gavins, speaking on “Violence Against Women;” lunch; and a walk fitness program.
Seating is limited. Registration for the free event will be accepted until Thursday by Gwen Alexander, projects coordinator, at (330) 744-4377.
Honorary chairman named for golf outing
YOUNGSTOWN — The Children’s Mental Health Circle of Friends Foundation has selected Michael Zordich as its honorary chairman for the 23rd annual celebrity golf tournament to be held June 23 at Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna.
Zordich, noted Chaney, Penn State University and National Football League player, was a four-year letterman and All-American at Penn State and was recently inducted into the Curbstone Coaches Hall of Fame. He is president of Wright Industries Inc. and an underground utility contractor in the Pittsburgh area. He lives in Canfield with his wife, Cynthia, and their three children.
More than 30 football, basketball and hockey celebrities will be participating in the fund-raising golf tournament.
The Circle of Friends Foundation supports the services of the D E Counseling Center.
School plans Ladies Day event at Avalon Inn
WARREN ¬≠— Sts. Mary and Joseph School will host a Ladies Day of relaxation and entertainment from noon to 6 p.m. April 6 at the Avalon Inn and Resort in Howland.
State Sen. Capri Cafaro will be a special guest at the event, which will include shopping with more than 20 businesses, a spring fashion show, luncheon and entertainment by Teresa Roberts Logan, a Christian comedian, who has appeared on A E and HBO and was featured on “Thou Shalt Laugh,” the Christian comedy tour.
Tickets are $35 and include entry into prize drawings. They must be purchased by March 30.

Author donates book for Camp Fire auction
CANFIELD — Well-known writer Dean Koontz has donated an autographed hard copy of his book, “Sieze the Night,” for Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio to auction.
Anyone can mail a bid to Camp Fire USA, P.O. Box 516, Canfield, OH 44406 by March 20. Include name, address, phone number and amount. All bids will be opened March 31. In case of a tie, postmarks will determine the winner.
