Fundraisers to benefit Valley’s food bank

Two area businesses are having events Saturday to raise money and/or food for the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley’s Harvest for Hunger donations.

The Hickory Rib, 377 S. Ellsworth Road, Salem, is raffling an Acoustic Rogue RG100 six-string guitar. The instrument’s folk-style body includes a high-gloss American flag design and mother-of-pearl inlay on the rosewood fret board.

ATA Black Belt Academy, 6001 South Ave., Boardman, is hosting a special board-breaking seminar from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Admission to the seminar, open to the public age 6 and older, is two nonperishable food items for Second Harvest Food Bank. Attendees also will have a chance to win a one-month tae kwon do introduction package with a free uniform. For more information, call (330) 726-9628.
