ASSOCIATIONS

• American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will celebrate International Women’s History by holding a joint program with Boardman-Canfield AAUW, League of Women Voters and the UN-USA chapter on Thursday at the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St. Tsitsi Jajii will speak on “Changing Lives of African Women.” The 5:30 p.m. social will be followed by dinner at 6. • Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. A buffet dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $19. • Northeast Homeowners and Concerned Citizens Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Price Memorial AME Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave., Youngstown. Monica Hoskins of the American Insurance Agency will give a presentation on homeowners and life insurance. Grant applications for the Raymond John Wean Foundation and the Youngstown Community Development Agency will be discussed. The meeting is open to residents of the 1st and 2nd wards. • Girard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Girard Free Library.

AUXILIARIES

• St. Anthony Auxiliary of Struthers will hold a members-only polenta dinner at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Arlene DeChellis in Boardman. The cost is $8, and reservations are to be made with the telephone committee. Anna DeChellis, Anna DeAmato and Floreann Demato are in charge.

• St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room. The speaker will be Rita Havas, volunteer manager, who will present a program on “Mandatory Safety Test.”

• McDonald Music Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the high school.

CLUBS

• Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Antone’s Banquet Centre, Boardman. Steve Wright will present a program on “Gettysburg Stories — Fact or Fiction?” The dinner and meeting will cost $12, and reservations are to be made with Gordy Morgan, (330) 726-7603.

• Croatian Fraternal Union of America 185 will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bedford Trails Golf Course.

GUILDS

• Western Reserve Knitting Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. Because of the cancellation of the previous meeting, the program will be the same as February’s.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

• Junior Seton Circle will have a luncheon and meeting at noon Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The program will be presented by Brian Corbin, director of Catholic Charities. Mary Frances O’Neill will be hostess chairwoman, and her committee will be Mary Gordon and Mary Sennett.

• St. Michael Altar Guild of St. Michael Church, Canfield, will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the parish center following the 5:30 p.m. benediction. Pat Hoyle will preside, and a light supper of soup will be served. Presenting a program on the Easter season will be Deacon Tom Soich. Hostesses will be Margaret Wood and Elaine Boomhower. • Mercer County Historical Society, 119 S. Pitt St., Mercer, Pa., will meet Tuesday for a two-part program on Abraham Lincoln and on the Civil War POW camps and their related issues.
