Boil alert issued for portions of Canfield

CANFIELD — A precautionary boil order has been issued for residents of North Broad Street, Oaktree Drive, Pinecone Drive, Dartmouth Drive, Chapel Lane, Sleepy Hallow Drive and Willow Way.

The order will remain in effect until 5 p.m. today.

A waterline break at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on North Broad Street near Sleepy Hollow caused reduced water pressure and officials issued the order as a precaution.

Water for drinking, cooking and oral hygiene should be boiled for at least one minute prior to use. Any other residents experiencing discolored water should follow the boil alert as well.
