HUBBARD

Feb. 29

Theft: Someone pumped and failed to pay for gasoline before driving away from a Shell True North station, 204 W. Liberty St.

Theft: Police were informed of a theft at Circle K, 211 W. Liberty St. No other information was in the report.

Attempted breaking and entering: A West Park Avenue woman found out someone tried to enter her apartment.

Arrest: Struthers police handed a Hubbard woman over to Hubbard authorities. She is accused of failing to appear in court for trial.

March 1

Warrants: Police issued warrants for the arrests of three Hubbard residents accused of failing to pay their city income taxes.

Drug paraphernalia: Someone reported suspected drug paraphernalia at a Henry Street residence.

March 3

Burglary: A Maple Grove Road man discovered firearms missing from his home, apparently after a break-in.

LIBERTY

Feb. 29

Drugs: While investigating a suspicious car on Trumbull Court, authorities made three arrests after saying a suspected crack pipe and a bag of suspected marijuana were found. A Lisbon man, 40, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a 27-year-old Youngstown man with possession of marijuana; another Youngstown man, also 27, was wanted on a probation-violation charge.

Drug paraphernalia: After pulling over a vehicle near Hadley Avenue, officers took into custody a Girard man, 24, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and dangerous drugs. Two pills without a prescription were in a box, and the man had a suspected crack pipe in his left shoe, police said.

Vehicle theft: A Tuttle Drive man accused his female roommate, 43, of failing to return his 1991 Plymouth minivan and using his debit card to withdraw $130 without the accuser’s knowledge.

March 1

Drugs: A Niles man, 26, was taken into custody on charges of drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence after officers responded to a suspicious vehicle on Naylor-Lloyd Road. A suspected marijuana pipe was found, and his blood-alcohol count was 0.221, the report showed.

March 2

Domestic violence: A 22-year-old Green Acres Drive man was charged after a woman alleged her enraged boyfriend choked her and threw the accuser into a wall. The woman was injured.

Drugs: A traffic stop on state Route 304 led to a 31-year-old Girard man’s being charged with drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence when, police said, a bag of suspected marijuana and a spoon with a white powder were found.

March 3

Criminal damaging: After a Hadley Avenue woman reported damage to a window and drywall, police said a projectile may have been fired or thrown.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Millicent Avenue man accused a Hubbard woman, 37, of failing to return his 2006 Chevrolet Hummer.

Threats: A Colonial Drive woman told police a Beaver Falls, Pa., woman, 40 to 44, made a series of approximately 50 unwanted calls, on some of which she threatened to shoot and kill the accuser.

March 4

Criminal damaging: A Frederick Street woman reported a man staying with her punched or kicked three holes into her apartment’s walls after accusing her of stealing money from him.

GIRARD

Feb. 29

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A North State Street man said his girlfriend, 24, took his 2007 Ford Fusion without consent.

Fraud: An elderly West Second Street man alleged his son used the father’s Social Security number, and that the accuser is receiving calls and letters from collection agencies blaming him for failing to pay $25,000 owed.

Theft: A North State Street man reported his debit card and $50 stolen.

Burglary: Someone forced open a basement window to a residence in the 100 block of Olive Street and took $500 worth of copper piping.

March 1

Theft: Someone removed a $300 electric meter from a building in the 50 block of Hartzell Avenue.

Burglary: An Elruth Court woman discovered her apartment had been entered before a $300 Ohio income tax return check was removed.

Burglary: An Illinois Avenue woman found out someone had broken into her home via a side door before taking a 42-inch TV and $5,000 to $8,000 worth of jewelry.

Criminal damaging: A rear garage window to a residence in the 10 block of Clermont Street was broken.

March 3

Theft: A Mineral Ridge woman’s wallet was stolen as she patronized a South Market Street business.

Theft: An East Wilson Avenue man accused a 24-year-old Girard woman of taking his credit card and racking up $800 worth of charges without consent.

Breaking and entering: A man told authorities someone broke into the garage of his mother’s former residence in the 300 block of Forsythe Avenue. It was undetermined if anything was stolen.
