Teamsters trustee oversees Local 377

YOUNGSTOWN — The Teamsters have appointed a trustee to oversee the daily operations of Local 377 until a new election is held.

The Youngstown local has been in turmoil since a controversial October election. The local represents 3,800 workers in Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula counties.

Charles Byrnes has sent a letter to Local 377 members informing them of his appointment as trustee. Brynes is secretary-treasurer of Local 926 in Pittsburgh.
