Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following activities: Monday, income-tax assistance from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and bridge at 1; Tuesday, oil painting at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, basic Spanish class at 1 p.m., digital club at 2 and Caregiver support progam from 2 to 3; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10 a.m., computer at 10 a.m. and noon, tai chi at noon and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; and Thursday, woodcarvers and Watch Our Weight Club at 9 a.m., D.J. Stitchers at 10, WOW luncheon at 11:30, exercise at noon, and square dancing and line dancing at 1 p.m.; and Friday, Joseph Knight Towers Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Texas hold’em at 1. A watercolor workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The center, in conjunction with AARP, will offer free tax assistance for those 60 and older from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Fridays until April 11. Call for an appointment. Home Energy Assistance Program applications are available at the center. The center has applications for the SBC telephone discount program of $12.38 per month for eligible applicants.
