Lakota West 62, Dublin Coffman 48
WESTERVILLE — Alexis Rogers scored 18 points and third-ranked West Chester Lakota West dominated the second and third quarters to beat No. 1 Dublin Coffman and win a Division I regional championship on Saturday. Quinessa Johnson added 11 points and Amber Gray had 10 for Lakota (25-1), which outscored the Shamrocks 30-17 in the middle two quarters. Sam Mackay had 19 points and Becca Bornhorst 11 for Coffman (25-1). Two free throws by Bornhorst brought Coffman to 35-28 with 3:11 left in the third quarter, but Lakota scored the next eight points — a 3-pointer by Stephanie Whitenack, a layup by Rogers and another Whitenack 3-pointer. The lead never dropped below eight points again. Lakota West will meet Boardman (19-7) in a state semifinal Friday at 6 p.m. Friday at Ohio State’s Value City Arena.
Berlin Hiland 57, Bedford Chanel 45
MASSILLON — Jena Stutzman scored 13 points and second-ranked Berlin Hiland got off to a quick start to beat Bedford Chanel and win a Division IV regional championship. The Hawks (25-1) advance to a state semifinal game on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Ohio State’s Value City Arena. Hiland led 9-4 after a quarter and 24-14 at the half and never trailed in the second half. Ashley Davis scored 14 points, Jaclyn Kellon 12 and Courtney Cook 11 for Chanel (18-8).
S. Euclid Regina 91, Rootstown 55
MASSILLON — Shay Selby led four players in double figures with 24 points to spur second-ranked South Euclid Regina past Rootstown and win a Division III regional championship. The Royals (24-2) advance to meet poll champion Versailles (26-0) in a state semifinal game on Friday at 1 p.m. at Ohio State’s Value City Arena. Emily Hoscilowicz had 14 points and Hillary Southworth and Tay’ler Mingo each had 10 for Regina. Ashley Christani scored 25 points and Monica Mims had 12 for Rootstown (20-6).
Lima Bath 71, Sandusky Perkins 62
ONTARIO — Rachel Mauk scored 35 points and Lima Bath pulled away in the second half to beat Sandusky Perkins 71-62 to win a Division II regional championship on Saturday.
Mauk hit 9-of-20 shots from the field including 5-of-14 3-pointers, plus added 12-of-15 free throws, two rebounds and seven assists for Bath (24-1), which advances to meet Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown (21-4) in a state semifinal on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Value City Arena. Stefanie Mauk chipped in with 14 points and Nicki Hopkins had 11 for Bath, which was outscored inside the arc but hit 14-of-42 3-pointers to Perkins’ 3-of-9. The Wildcats led 27-26 at the half but outscored the Pirates 15-12 in the third quarter and 29-24 in the fourth. Perkins (23-1), which was trying to make a return trip to the state tournament, was led by Trish Krewson’s 25 points and 11 rebounds, with Cierra Bravard adding 20 points and Stacey Grathwol 12.
