No. 14 Butler 65, Detroit 31

INDIANAPOLIS — Pete Campbell had 24 points on a career-high eight 3-pointers and Butler completed its regular season with a victory over Detroit. Mike Green finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for the Bulldogs (27-3, 16-2 Horizon League), who won for the 11th time in 12 games. Their only loss during the stretch came Feb. 23 against No. 20 Drake. Butler clinched the Horizon League regular-season title with its win over Wright State on Thursday, and earned an automatic berth to the semifinals of the conference tournament which will be played in its Hinkle Fieldhouse. Chris Hayes had nine points and six rebounds, and Eulis Stephens added eight points for the Titans (7-22, 3-15), who lost their fourth straight. The Bulldogs took a 16-3 lead following consecutive 3-pointers from Campbell, who was 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in the first half and had 12 points.

Valparaiso 75, Wright St. 73 OT

VALPARAISO, Ind. — A Shawn Huff layup with one second left in overtime lifted Valparaiso. Huff, who finished with 17 points, also added a free-throw on the play to complete a Crusader rally in the game’s final minute. Valparaiso (19-12, 9-9 Horizon League) took a 13-point lead into halftime after the game started at 11 a.m. But the Crusaders then shot 28 percent from the field in the second half, and Wright State (20-9, 12-6) scored 41 second half points. The Raiders forced overtime when Scottie Wilson sank his only 3-pointer with about a minute to play to tie the score at 67. Michael Rogers hit five 3-pointers and led Valparaiso with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
