Youngstown Shrine Club will honor Henry

NORTH LIMA — Youngstown Shrine Club, 1745 W. South Range Road, will honor John F. (Bud) Henry, a 60-year member of the club, at its annual Wurst Party Roast to be held March 22 at the club.

Henry is being recognized for his years of service to the club, Shrine hospitals and the community. He has chaired or co-chaired the Shrine Clambake for over 25 years.

Henry retired in 1988 as president of EASCO Aluminum. He served on the board of directors of Dollar Bank and has supported Salvation Army, United Way, Nature Conservancy and Butler Institute of American Art. He is a 50-year member and former board member of Canfield Conservation Club and is a member of Argus Lodge, St. John’s Commandery, Royal Arch Masons, Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland and the Saxon Club.

Recently Henry established the Henry Family Scholarship Fund for athletic scholars attending Youngstown State University. He and his wife, Dorothy, actively support the university and its football and basketball programs.

Among family members attending the roast will be his daughters, Carol (Rick) Bernauer, Beverly (Steve) Saunders and Linda (Jim) McLaughlin.
