In most cases, children must be age 5 by Sept. 30 and have proof of proper immunizations, their birth certificate, a Social Security number and proof of residency at the time of registration. Proof of legal custody may also be required. Any additional requirements are listed with each school.
Mineral Ridge: Kindergarten Round-Up for students entering school at Seaborn Elementary School, 3800 Niles-Carver Road, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday and March 11 and 18. The Round-Up days are for parents to fill out enrollment papers for students who will enter kindergarten in the fall. Students who are 5 years old by Aug. 1 are eligible to enroll.
McDonald: A second Kindergarten Round-Up will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Roosevelt Elementary School office, 410 W. Seventh Street. Students must reach the age of 5 by July 1 to enroll for kindergarten. The board recently changed the cut-off date from Sept. 30 to July 1. The round-up is for school district residents only. Open enrollment applications must still be processed through the superintendent's office.
