Pavlik snubbed by the Governator

After waiting more than 2 1/2 hours to receive a award from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at Saturday’s Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Kelly Pavlik decided to terminate the trophy presentation.

And he won’t be back.

Pavlik was supposed to receive the “Outside the Ring” award from the California governor, which goes to the individual who has “contributed immeasurably to the sport community, who has served as an inspiration to youth and who has served immeasurably to support and grow the great sport of boxing.”

The presentation was supposed to take place at 12:30 p.m., but kept being pushed back due to Schwarzenegger’s unavailability. He eventually left around 3 p.m.
