Dinner celebration honors Wehrs for 50th anniversary

X SALEM — Ralph and Edna Wehr, of 14725 Green-Beaver Road, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner party for invited guests on June 21 at Harry Jean’s Restaurant in Canfield.

Hosts of the celebration were the couple and their children: Kenneth and Jenny Wehr of Rogers, Lawrence and Becky Wehr of North Lima, Ronald and Dawn Wehr of Columbiana, and Roger and Shellie Wehr of Salem. The Wehrs also have six grandchildren.

On June 29, 1958, Edna Gromley and Mr. Wehr were married at First Friends Church in Salem.

Mrs. Wehr worked for 26 years as food-service director and cafeteria manager for South Range Schools in North Lima and Greenford. She retired in 2005.

Mr. Wehr, a self-employed contractor and carpenter, worked all over Mahoning and Columbiana counties. He retired in 1997.
