House party for Obama tonight in Boardman

BOARDMAN — A house party — one of more than 200 in Ohio — will be at 6:30 p.m. today at 5510 West Blvd. to kick off organizing efforts in the state for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s general election campaign for president.

The events are designed to bring together voters who supported Democratic candidates in the March primary election along with independents and Republicans who now support Obama’s Unite for Change campaign. The public is invited.

More than 4,000 house meetings will be in homes nationwide.
