Scrappers fall 2-1

NILES — Chris Swauger’s two-run double in the fourth inning was all the runs Batavia produced Friday night at Eastwood Field, but four Muckdogs pitchers made them hold up in a 2-1 win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in a New York-Penn League game.

The loss was the second straight for the Scrappers (5-6), who play host to the Muckdogs tonight at 7:05 p.m. in the finale of the series.
