CANFIELD CITY

June 10

Drug paraphernalia: A 20-year-old Austintown man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on North Broad Street.

June 12

Bad check: A check on a closed Wachovia bank account was given to the City of Canfield for an overdue water bill. The woman who wrote the check told Canfield office personnel she didn’t know the account was closed and later paid the account balance in cash.

June 13

Drug arrest: Police arrested a 25-year-old Dublin, Ohio, man on charges of drug abuse marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at state Route 11 south of U.S. Route 224.

Drug arrest: A 20-year-old Canfield woman was arrested on N. Broad Street on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found suspected marijuana on her.

Drug paraphernalia: A 22-year-old Salem man was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after police found him parked in the south parking lot at St. Michael’s Church.

Telecommunications harassment: A woman residing in the 100 block of Carriage Lane reported she had received three threatening phone calls.

Criminal damaging: Two Canfield girls, a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old, were arrested and charged with being delinquent and for criminal damaging after they used two cans of spray paint at Canfield Middle School, 42 Wadsworth Street.

June 19

Drug arrest: A 24-year-old Lowellville man was arrested on Fairground Boulevard after police found suspected marijuana and a knife on him.

June 16

Theft: A victim’s friend stole items from his residence in the 4000 block of Westmont Drive.

Theft: A wallet and its contents were stolen from an auto at Koch Baseball Fields, 1600 N. Raccoon Road.

Telecommunications harassment: A picture of the victim was put on “My Space” at an apartment in the 100 block of N. Kimberly Avenue.

Criminal trespass: A male suspect was arrested for trespassing at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.

Assault: A 17-year-old boy was assaulted by two females at Schwebel’s parking lot, 3800 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $85 was stolen from an employee’s purse at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 4642 Mahoning Ave.

Attempted Theft: An attempt was made to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle at Noday’s Auto Sales, 1380 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A Makita cordless drill and accessories were stolen from Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave. and a man was arrested.

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was issued two summonses for a drug offense at Meridian Road and Oakwood Avenue. He was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Criminal damaging: An unknown object was thrown at a vehicle causing damage in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: $43.91 in gasoline was stolen at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Two purses were taken from two different vehicles at Cracker Barrel, 5600 Interstate Boulevard.

Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at Cracker Barrel.

June 17

Criminal damaging: A man was jailed for criminal damaging and was reportedly attempting to steal the vehicle at a home in the 100 block of N. Beverly Avenue.

Theft: A vending machine was pried open at the Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.

Truck theft: A 2004 International box truck was stolen at Home City Ice, 3733 Oakwood Ave.

Theft: A woman was issued a summons for theft at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: The front license plate of a vehicle was stolen.

Theft: $69.81 was stolen at Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Aggravated menacing: A woman had a gun pointed at her head over a loud noise complaint in the parking lot at Compass West apartments.

Telephone harassment: A woman reported being threatened by her brother over the phone at a home in the 300 block of Benton Street.

Breaking and entering: A mower was stolen from a garage at a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: An Austintown woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at an apartment in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Two 17-year-old girls were caught stealing at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Recovered property: Mongoose XR75 mountain bikes were recovered at a home in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.

Theft: Treated lumber was stolen from a home in the 200 block of Ardenwood Place.

Theft: A camera, knives and duffle bag were stolen by a man who was arrested at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Three handguns, money and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Moorefield Avenue.

Theft: A police scanner was stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Maureen Drive.

Criminal damaging: Tires were slashed on a vehicle in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Breaking and entering: An empty townhouse at 2200 S. Raccoon Road owned by Simco Management was broken into and robbed of mirrors, light bulbs and a medicine cabinet.

Assault: A victim was assaulted in the 50 block of N. Four Mile Run Road.

Fraud: An ex-secretary made out unauthorized checks to herself totalling $9,303 at Hermes Painting, 5752 W. Webb Road.

Theft: Two females were issued summonses for theft at Kmart.

Theft: An all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of N. Turner Road.

Attempted burglary: A door was damaged but nothing was taken at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: A suspect attempted to switch merchandise at Kmart.

Theft: $25.26 in fuel was stolen at Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: Tires were cut on a vehicle in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.

June 20

Fraud: A suspect from Youngstown made an unauthorized withdrawal from an account at the 717 Credit Union, 6460 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: The owner was reported to be failing to pay an employee at Creative Child Care, 4310 Kirk Road.

Criminal damaging: Four tires were cut on a vehicle and a window was broken on a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft: Two females and three males were caught stealing at Wal-Mart, and the merchandise was recovered.

Menacing: Text messages were reported as menacing at a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.
