Pentagon memorial At a glance

The Pentagon Memorial will be dedicated Sept. 11 and open to the public the next day:

The memorial, on the western side of the Pentagon and on the path of American Airlines Flight 77, includes a park and gateway spanning about two acres.

The memorial will be free and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Commercial parking is available at the Pentagon City mall, and the site is easily accessible from the Pentagon Metro station.
