VIENNA — Among those planning to participate in the 10th annual Jewish Community Center Suzi Solomon Golf Classic on July 14 at Avalon Country Club at Squaw Creek will be Kelly Pavlik, middleweight boxing champion.
The scholarship fundraiser will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The fee for golfers is $175 each and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch, cocktails at 5:45 p.m. and dinner afterward. The fee for nongolfers to attend the dinner is $50.
Prizes will be awarded to the top winning teams and for special par 3 events. A raffle and auction also will be part of the day’s activities.
Supported by the Suzi Solomon Philanthropic Fund of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation, the classic pays tribute to the memory of Suzi Solomon, an avid golfer, skier and member of the Jewish community.
Proceeds from the event remain in the community and will help support JCC programs such as health and wellness memberships, senior events, summer camp for kids and comprehensive care services for children.
