Hope Lafferty and Frank Dota to wed in summer

X Hope Lafferty, 118 N. Raleigh St., and Frank Dota, 582 Evans Run Drive, both in Martinsburg, W.Va., are engaged to be married, their parents announce.

She is the daughter of Fred and Brenda Lafferty, 752 Frazier Road, Buffalo Mills, Pa., and he is the son of Ron and Joanne Dota, 2350 Rosewae Ave., Youngstown.

The couple plan to be married in a 2 p.m. ceremony Aug. 9 at New Beginning Church Assembly of God, Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and a reception that evening at Byzantine at the Grove in Youngstown.

The bride-elect attended the Masters Commission in Hagerstown, Md., and is house manager of Shenandoah Women’s Center in Martinsburg.

The prospective groom graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics with an associate degree in specialized technology. He works as an A&P structural mechanic for Northrop Grumman in Hagerstown.
