GIRARD

June 15

Aggravated menacing: A North Avenue man told authorities a Liberty man called his home continually, threatening to kill him and his girlfriend.

Criminal damaging: A door to an apartment building in the 400 block of North Highland Avenue was damaged.

Criminal trespassing: Police issued a summons to an Austintown man, 29, on a criminal trespassing charge after saying he rode his all-terrain vehicle on private property in the 1900 block of South State Street.

June 16

Burglary: A woman returned from vacation to her South Market Street residence and was informed by a neighbor that someone had broken a window and entered. Nothing appeared to be missing, however.

Criminal trespassing: An East Wilson Avenue man found marks on his door after someone had been banging on the door and apparently trying to kick it in.

Theft: An East Second Street woman reported a gym bag stolen from her car. The bag was found, but a calculator was missing.

Theft: An Indiana Avenue woman reported her 11-year-old daughter’s $1,000 clarinet missing.

Theft: A Girard man, 24, was charged, accused of concealing and failing to pay for three steaks at Santisi’s IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St.

June 17

Identity fraud: A man moving to an East Kline Street residence told police that as he was getting his gas turned on, he discovered a $451.66 balance from a home in Warren that he never lived in.

Aggravated menacing: A Krehl Avenue woman alleged her 34-year-old former boyfriend made a series of threatening phone calls related to a custody dispute regarding their daughter.

HUBBARD

June 13

Breaking and entering: Officers responded to a Maple Grove Drive home and found that the front door had been kicked in.

Possible burglary: A man reported a possible break-in at a Mock Street apartment complex.

June 15

Theft: A driver pumped and failed to pay for gasoline before leaving Hubbard Gas Mini Mart, 175 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.

June 16

Criminal mischief: A Spring Street woman reported a window to her husband’s vehicle was broken.

Criminal mischief: A Clingan Street woman found a hole in an aluminum awning.

LIBERTY

June 13

Theft: A motorist left a BP station, 2703 Belmont Ave., without paying for $16 worth of gasoline.

June 14

Arrest: Youngstown police handed a 47-year-old Youngstown man to Liberty authorities. He was wanted on a charge of criminal trespassing.

Criminal damaging: A Youngstown man driving on state Route 11 reported two males tossed objects from the state Route 304 overpass, striking his vehicle’s windshield and hood. Two 15-year-old Girard boys were questioned, though no charges had been filed at the time of the report.

Theft: A man in the 4900 block of Logan Way reported a set of speakers and a 12-inch subwoofer with speakers stolen from his car.

Counterfeit: A Girard man reported receiving a phony $5 bill as change while at a Belmont Avenue store.

Criminal trespassing: A Youngstown man, 43, faced charges of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct after police said they found him sitting on a Northview Drive woman’s front porch, despite his having been warned to stay off her property. He also became belligerent and uncooperative, officers said.

June 15

Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 1300 block of West Montrose Street through a window and stole a pair of diamond earrings, a silver wristwatch, two digital cameras and coins, for a loss of $1,215.

Burglary: A woman told police someone gained entry to her James Lane residence through a screen door before taking $20.

Drugs: After pulling over a vehicle on Motor Inn Drive for having a loud exhaust, police charged a Girard man, 26, with drug abuse after saying he admitted having a bag of suspected marijuana. A second bag also was found, officers said.

June 16

Theft: A Louise Lane man accused his 40-year-old sister of taking and pawning without permission his $800 computer and accessories.

Theft: A Tibbetts-Wick Road woman suspected her son, 24, of stealing 40 insulin syringes and roughly 20 Oxycodone tablets.

Theft/bad checks: A worker with Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., told police a 28-year-old Youngstown woman stole $37 worth of gasoline from the nearby Get Go station, and wrote two checks totaling $322.64 on a closed account.

Theft by deception: An elderly Youngstown man told authorities a woman at a Belmont Avenue business claiming her vehicle was out of gas asked him for money and a ride to another store. The man gave her $10 but became suspicious afterward.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke a garage window and entered Church Hill Motors, 1480 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, and stole a $4,000 Pontiac vehicle.

Arrests: A traffic stop at a Belmont Avenue gas station resulted in two arrests. A Hubbard man, 22, was charged with criminal trespassing when, police said, he was on the premises despite having been warned to stay away; a Youngstown man, 24, was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with larceny.

Assault: A Scott Lane man told officers another man threw the accuser to the ground after accusing him of breaking into nearby vehicles. He had an abrasion to his left arm.
