The symptoms of E. coli, the bacteria found in high concentrations at Mosquito Lake in Bazetta Township, vary for each person and can include:

Stomach cramps

Diarrhea (often bloody)

Vomiting

Mild fever

Most people get better in five to seven days. Some infections can be life-threatening.
