Worth a Look: Area activities are open to the public
SALES
• Henderson Memorial Public Library, 54E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, will have a public book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27-28. A silent auction of used, outdated equipment also will take place. A special preview night for association members only will be June 26 from 6-8 p.m. Patrons may join the association for $2 per individual or $5 per family at the door.
• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., has scheduled a trash and treasure rummage sale for three days at the social hall. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday Featured will be baby furniture, dishes, crafts, toys, radios, seasonal items, small appliances, computers and a variety of clean usable items in good condition. Refreshments will be available, and coffee and punch will be free.
• St. William Church, 5431 Mahoning Ave., Champion, is having a summer trunk sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the church parking lot. It’s a one-day garage sale from the trunk of your car. The cost is $10 per spot in advance, or $15 the day of the sale. Take your own table to set up in front of your trunk. The church will sell used books, media, and baked goods. • Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women's and children's clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.
• A calendar of activities to which the public is invited is published Monday. Please submit information to the Society Department by 5 p.m. Thursday.
