Rock anniversary marked at dinner and reception


X BOARDMAN — Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rock of Boardman, who were united in marriage April 19, 1958, at Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6 with friends during a dinner and reception at Mr. Anthony's.

Serving as hosts for the observance were the couple's son and his wife, Michael and Natalie Rock of Concord. There also are two grandchildren in the family, Nora, 4 years, and Adam, 5 months.

The Rocks’ anniversary was also celebrated on April 19 during a pool-side gathering given by friends at their winter home in Hollywood, Fla.

Mr. Rock served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army two years in Germany and one year in the states. He retired after 31 years of service as a teacher with Niles City Schools and is a substitute teacher in Struthers and an active member of several area organizations.

Mrs. Rock, the former Marlene Pezzuti, retired as a cosmetology instructor and salon owner after 28 years in the Youngstown and Boardman areas.

The Rocks are members of St. Charles Church and also of Nativity Church in Hollywood, Fla.
