Cheerleading clinic set in Newton Falls
NEWTON FALLS — A cheerleading clinic for pupils entering grades seven-12 who want to become varsity, junior varsity or junior high school cheerleaders will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 23, 24 and 25 in the junior high gymnasium. On June 26, the final tryouts for the various cheerleading squads will be at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
An informational parent meeting will be at 6 p.m. June 23 before the start of the clinic. Cheerleader tryout procedures, times and rules will be discussed at the meeting. Pupils wishing to participate and try out are asked to have their permission slips, emergency care and insurance forms completed before the start of the clinic.
On June 26 the junior high gymnasium will be available at 6 p.m. for warm-ups and waiting area. Attire for the tryouts will be: white socks, dark shorts (preferably black), white tennis shoes, white shirts and hair pulled back, if necessary.
