Two charged with breaking and entering

YOUNGSTOWN — Two city men were arraigned Friday in Youngstown Municipal Court on felony charges of breaking and entering after they were arrested Thursday night in a pickup truck containing suspected stolen sheet metal.

Police said a witness saw Richard A. Tuchek, 36, and Edwin Hustutler, 32, both of North Evanston Avenue, Youngstown, taking the sheet metal from Genmak Steel, 1053 Ohio Works Drive, on the North Side.

Police were called at 8 p.m. to Ohio Works Drive at Division Street, where the two men were found in a truck carrying sheet metal. The truck was extremely low from the weight of the metal, police said.

A Genmak employee told police he saw the two men take the sheet metal, valued at about $1,600, from a bin on the company’s property. The company said Tuchek is a former Genmak employee.

Police found hundreds of receipts in the truck’s ashtray from Youngstown Iron and Metal. The receipts were taken into evidence.

If convicted on the charges, each man could be sent to prison for up to one year.
