Pleasant Grove video is among 15 finalists

YOUNGSTOWN — Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., is one of 15 finalists in the Youth Video Challenge sponsored by the Presbyterian Foundation’s social networking site, ymiLIVE.org. Junior and senior high school members of the church youth group and Sunday school made the video, which is called “Acceptance?”

More than 100 videos were submitted in the contest that ran from March 1 through June 1. Entries had to be based on Micah 6:8, “Do justice, love kindness, walk humbly with your God.” About 12,000 people registered on the site to be eligible to vote online.

The 15 videos will be shown at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA, which will be June 21-28 in San Jose, Calif. Youth advisory delegates will select three top videos. The winners each will receive $25,000 endowments from the Presbyterian Foundation.
