Kalbasky-Saxon wedding to be in St. Nicholas Church

X STRUTHERS — Gary and JoAnne Kalbasky of Struthers are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Marie Kalbasky, and Andrew Joseph Saxon, a son of the late Joseph and Phyllis Saxon, and plans for their summer wedding.

The couple will be united in marriage during an open ceremony that will take place at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at St. Nicholas Church. Invitations will be extended for their evening reception at The Embassy in Youngstown.

Miss Kalbasky is a fifth-grade teacher, head varsity softball coach and eighth-grade girls basketball coach with LaBrae Local Schools . She graduated from Thiel College with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and elementary education and earned a master’s degree in education from Marygrove College.

Mr. Saxon graduated from Youngstown State University with a teaching degree and earned his master’s in curriculum from Ashland University. He is a seventh-grade language arts teacher and head girls basketball coach at Girard High School, and is also the assistant softball coach at LaBrae High School.
