Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY

Treatments

High-intensity oxygen provided through HBOT increases the amount of oxygen circulated to body tissues through a patient’s blood, which helps preserve damaged tissue, increase blood vessel formation and improve infection control, and ultimately augments wound healing. HBOT is used to treat a number of conditions, including:

Acute carbon monoxide poisoning.

Decompression illness (bends).

Gas embolism.

Gas gangrene.

Crash injuries.

Suturing of severed limbs.

Cyanide poisoning.

Diabetic wounds of lower extremities.

Softtissue and bone damage from radiation.
