X Galilee Apostolic Church, 4009 Elmwood in Austintown, near Woodside Elementary School, will sell baked goods and meatball subs during a three-day rummage sale. Hours Thursday and Friday are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, which is bag day, from 9 a.m. to noon.

XSt. John Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, is having a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Friday

X American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, will serve meatloaf and parsley potatoes dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. . The cost is $6 per person.

XGuilford Lake Ruritan club, Route 172 at Hanna Drive, Guilford Lake, will sponsor a fish fry from 3-7 p.m.

X Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; and bread and butter, coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

SATURDAY

X Christ Lutheran Church, 250 Sexton St., Struthers, will sponsor a strawberry festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Strawberry shortcake and a beverage will be $2.50. In conjunction with the event there will be a sale of gently used clothing.

TAKING ORDERS

XThe Happy Hearts Junior Tamburitzans of Youngstown are selling their famous frozen apple and cheese strudels along with instructions on how to bake them. Both types cost $8 each. To order, call Windi Kresic at (330) 980-9384 or Branka Ladd at (330) 758-5506. The sale will continue through July 4.

X Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St., Washingtonville, will have an annual strawberry social from 4 to 6:30 p.m. June 21. Available will be strawberries with shortcake or angel food cake (with or without ice cream), hot turkey sandwiches, sloppy joes, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, and coffee, punch or iced tea.
