Jury acquits Campbell man of rape charge
YOUNGSTOWN — A seven-woman, five-man jury has acquitted a Campbell man of raping a 14-year-old girl.
The jury deliberated just over an hour this afternoon before rendering its decision in the trial of Keith Nunez, 19, of Porter Avenue, on two counts of rape.
The charges stemmed from an alleged assault on the girl in a Campbell apartment Dec. 9, 2006.
The trial, which began Monday, was conducted by Judge Timothy E. Franken of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
