Morells renew nuptial vows on 50th anniversary

X HUBBARD — Mr. and Mrs. Carl Morrell, 175 Tulip Drive, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows during a ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Timothy H. O’Neill on May 31 at St. Patrick Church.

The former Patricia Emerine and Mr. Morell were united in marriage on that date in 1958 at St. Joseph Church in Warren.

Mrs. Morell retired from the bursar’s office at Youngstown State University.

Mr. Morrell was a superintendent with Hubbard schools prior to retiring.

Later this month, the couple will be honored during a family celebration at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina. Their family includes Carl and Cindi Morell of Charlotte, N.C.; Edward Morell of Chihuahua, Mexico; Thomas and Deanne Morell of El Paso, Texas; and three grandchildren, Justin, Alexis and C.J. Morell.
