Mondoras plan beach festivity for 50th anniversary

X FORT MEYERS, Fla. — The children of Stephen A. and Carolyn Mondora announce their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, which was May 31.

The couple, of 9112 Parkwood Court, are celebrating this week with their children and four grandchildren, who are hosting a family beach gathering at Captiva Island in Florida.

The couple’s children are Robert Mondora of Clearwater, Fla.; Elizabeth Mondora of Tampa, Fla.; and William Mondora of New Haven, Conn.

The former Carolyn McConnell and Mr. Mondora were married May 31, 1958, in Youngstown, where they were born.

Mr. Mondora spent most of his career in the computer and management fields. After retirement, he has become the chairman of the board of Heifer International.

Mrs. Mondora, a homemaker, enjoys traveling with her husband, especially in Europe. The couple are avid volunteers in their community.

A few months every summer, the couple visit Pymatuning Lake.
