Anniversary Mass is said May 10 for Jordans’ 50th


X STRUTHERS — St. Nicholas Church was the setting May 10 for a Mass said in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan, 858 Fifth St., who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The Rev. Bob Bonnot served as celebrant.

The couple were also honored during a dinner hosted at Nicolinni's by their children and their spouses, Anthony Jordan of Lorain, Frank and Karyn Jordan of Boardman, Nicholas and Diane Jordan of Struthers, and James and Lisa Jordan of Strongsville. Among the participants were their 10 grandchildren.

The former Marian Cacivilano and Mr. Jordan were united in marriage May 10, 1958, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown. They are members of St. Nicholas Church, where she is an eucharistic minister, a member of the liturgical committee and a festival worker.

Mrs. Jordan was employed as a secretary with Lordstown Local Schools from 1976 to 1986, and afterward was a secretary at First Benefits Insurance in Austintown until 1998. She is a member of Struthers Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Mr. Jordan served with the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He retired in 1994 as a police captain with Struthers Police Department and is employed as a bailiff with Struthers Municipal Court. He is a member of Struthers A.C. Club, A.C. Club Golf League, FOP Lodge 41, Knights of Columbus Council 4224 and Struthers Gridiron Club.
