X YOUNGSTOWN — Jessica Bodnar and Eric Oates, of 3711 N. Pleasant Drive E., were married at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 18, 2007, at Kidston Pavilon in Fellows Riverside Gardens.

She is a daughter of Timothy Bodnar, 1610 Waterford Road, East Palestine, and Tammy Young, 35018 Teegarden Road, Lisbon, and he is the son of Patricia Keeton of 2015 state Route 165 and the late James Oates.

The Rev. Donald Pentz officiated and a reception at Avion on the Water in Canfield followed. The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The bride wore a strapless organza corset gown adorned with beaded metallic lace . Wearing black dresses were maid of honor, Allison Mohr, and bridesmaids Amanda and Katelyn Bodnar, sisters of the bride; Marcy McCoy; and Angie Venezia. Avery and MiKayla Oates, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.

James Justice was best man, and groomsmen were Ryan O’Neil, Dave Parks, Mike Reed and Dave Shaw. Austin and Jerick Oates, the groom’s nephews, were ushers.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in counseling at Youngstown State University. She is executive director of Sharon Lynn Residence for Girls in Salem.

The groom, also a YSU graduate, has an associate degree in computer information systems and works as IT manager for MVI HomeCare.
