Cooks plan travel to the Poconos for 50th anniversary

X COLUMBIANA — William E. and Joann Cook are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, where they spent their honeymoon.

The former Joann E. Forney and Mr. Cook were married June 7, 1958, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Youngstown.

They both retired in 1984 from Packard Electric in Warren, where they were active in their union, Local 717. Both are members of Jerusalem Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Cook is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames XVII Century.

Mr. Cook, a member of American Legion Post 290, served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
