Hrina-Medvec wedding planned for November

X STRUTHERS — David and Elizabeth Hrina of Struthers announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Hrina, and Matthew Medvec, both of Canfield. He is a son of Michael and Christina Medvec of Poland.

The couple will exchange wedding vows in November at St. Nicholas Church. Invitations will be extended for both the ceremony and for a reception at Avion on the Water in Canfield.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She is pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy at Chatham University in Pittsburgh and is to graduate in December.

The prospective groom, a deputy sheriff with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department in Youngstown, attended Thiel College in Greenville and graduated from YSU’s Police Academy.
