FUNDRAISERS

• Alzheimer’s Assistance and Referral Network is having its annual garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 7 and 8 and from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 9 at Western Reserve Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield. Proceeds will support the local services of the Alzheimer’s Network. Donations of clean, saleable items will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4 to 6 at the church. No items can be picked up.

SALES

• Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will have a No Trash, Just Treasure Sale from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, there will be a $2-a-bag sale.

• Coitsville Presbyterian Church, 91 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will sponsor a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The kitchen will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A light lunch will be served. Homemade soup will be available by the quart for takeout.

• Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will have its seventh annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; admission is free. A preview sale with a $4 admission fee will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday. On Saturday, there will be a $1 bag sale from 1 to 3 p.m. Food will be available, and there will be a bake sale.

SPECIAL EVENTS

• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women's and children's clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

TRIPS

• Infant Jesus of Prague Diocesan Guilds will sponsor a bus trip to Cleveland Aug. 13 to view the Vatican Treasures exhibit. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from Infant Jesus Byzantine Catholic Church at 7754 South Ave. in Boardman. The cost of $45 per person includes lunch at Golden Corral.
