Scrappers split with Jamestown

NILES — Robert Phelps had two hits and two RBIs, leading the Mahoning Valley Scrappers to a 9-4 victory over the Jamestown Jammers in a New York-Penn League game at Eastwood Field Sunday night.

The win snapped a six-game losing streak for the Scrappers, who earlier Sunday lost to the Jammers, 8-0, in the completion of a suspended game from Saturday night.
