Roto-Rooter crew rescues trapped kitten
BRECKSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — It was Roto-Rooter to the rescue for an unlucky black kitten that got stuck in an outdoor drainage pipe near Cleveland.
The plumbing and drain service was called in Friday by workers at a firm in suburban Brecksville that provides health care billing services. Someone had noticed the little cat down a pipe in the ground outside the business, but various agencies that were contacted first were unable to come and help.
A Roto-Rooter crew used a drain snake equipped with a remote camera to keep the scared kitty in its sights during a tricky removal operation that took six hours.
After being checked out by a vet, the feline was taken home by Larry Ozanick, one of the lead rescuers.
He says he plans to name the kitten “Roto.”
