X SHARON, Pa. — The marriage of Kelly Long and Jonathan Marafiote, both of Youngstown, was solemnized by the Rev. Matthew Mager at 5 p.m. Feb. 23 at The Corinthian, where a reception followed the ceremony.

After accepting congratulations, the daughter of John and Marilyn Long of Hubbard and the son of John and Kathi Marafiote of Youngstown left on a wedding trip to the Hawaiian island of Maui. Upon return they live in Youngstown.

The bride’s white satin A-line gown was adorned with beaded lace and featured sheer cap sleeves, a corset bodice and a laced-up back.

Honor attendant was the bride’s sister, Holly Long, and bridesmaid was Rachel Marafiote, sister of the groom. They wore sky-blue gowns.

Serving as best man was George Popa, and groomsmen were Mike McCabe, Steve Reda and Ben Long, brother of the bride.

Mrs. Marafiote is a part-time juvenile librarian with the Austintown Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from YSU and is a freight operations supervisor with Conway Freight in Lordstown.
