Senior Fun Day planned

SALEM — Holander House in conjunction with more than 80 other businesses and organizations will present Salem Senior Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Senior High School cafeteria. The events are free for people 55 and older.

The day will include entertainment by musician Stormn’ Normn and the Starbright Line Dancers, and will include games, samples, gift cards, gift baskets, health checks and many other giveaways.

The first 400 attendees will receive a free bag lunch.

Converters stolen

YOUNGSTOWN — Catalytic converters were cut off and stolen from five cars parked at J.D. Byrider, 775 N. Meridian Road, police said. The theft was discovered Wednesday. No forced entry into the lot was found. The case has been assigned to the Scrap Theft Unit.
