KRISTA POMPILI GREGORY JOHNSTON

X PITTSBURGH — Nuptial vows were exchanged by Krista Maria Pompili and Gregory Dean Johnson, both of Pittsburgh, on May 25 during a wedding ceremony that took place at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

The marriage was solemnized by the Rev. Jay Geisler, and afterward the couple were honored during a reception at the LeMont Restaurant.

After returning from a honeymoon in Hawaii, the Johnstons live in Pittsburgh.

Parents of the bride are Edward Pompili and Barbara Pompili, both of Hubbard, and the groom is a son of Dean and Jane Johnston of Glen Dale, W.Va.

Lisa Pompili of Hubbard served as honor attendant for her sister-in-law, and flower girl was the groom’s niece, Libby Herne of Pittsburgh.

The duties of best man were performed by the groom’s father, and the ring bearer was Andon Pompili of Hubbard, a nephew of the bride.

Mrs. Johnston graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work. She is employed by Heartland Hospice as a social worker.

Mr. Johnston is employed in sports marketing and sponsorship with General Nutrition Centers. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marshall University and with a master’s in business administration from Robert Morris University.
